comparing yourself

compare your self with a winner not with a loser...

if compare with a loser you will look like a winner...

so the next time you compare, look at the guy you are comparing with and see if he is actually a loser or a winner..!

BLACK MEANS BAD

BLACK ... has to be the most complex colour...

On one side it is elegant and stylish, on the other side it is simply bad..
lets see where its used most of the time or rather it is black all the time..!
  • ladies evening dresses they are usually black
  • mens cocktail suits and tuxedos are always black unless ur PDD
  • car tyres.. they keep you on the road... they keep u safe... they are black..!
  • the famous rugby team is called ALL BLACKS
  • Manchester United's away strip is also all black
  • most peoples hair are black...
  • most peoples eyes are black too...
  • most cool cars nowadays, comes in black too..

the list goes on and on...

the point is if it is so widely accepted and to some, its even a fanatical must have, as an object just to look cool or elegant then why it is so badly perceived when its people who are black...

i have experienced this from the day i was born, my dad's mom, was so disgusted by my colour that she never carried me, the only son of her very loyal son... to add to it... my nephew by virtue of being born to my very much older cousin, was borned 3 days before me... she was so overjoyed by his arrival into this world bcos he was so fair like her but she totally didn't accept me... EVER..! she forgot i was dark bcos of her son, bcos everyone on my mother's side are fair coloured.. my mom's dad looks like a hindustani...

My mom still can't forgive her mother in law till today... For me, if my own grandmother was disgusted by my dark complexion how the hell am i'm gonna blame people on the streets or in school when they called me names or always believe black is bad... thats one of the reasons why when my frens called me names.. i took it very well... didn't bother me at all.. but i still didnt enjoy it..!

my grandma, died four years after my dad died, and ironically she who never carried or touched me, i was the one who carried her coffin to the grave, my nephew, her favourite great grandson, didnt turn up at all. in true honesty i dun think he got the news.

In America there is something called the black man syndrome...

  • it is a negative mentality where black people especially the men go about hating others because they assume every white people hates them and they have no future or hope in this world with that they will resort to crime and other negative activities..
  • on the other hand when a white guy sees a black man on a quiet road his first thoughts are .. he's gonna rob me or kill me...

In Malaysia we have our version of the black men syndrome... because indians here are considered Blacks... though we are actually dark brown or i rather call it MAHOGANY...

here's our indian black men syndrome version.. this is what i keep hearing... some indians here saying.. not all but a good majority..

  1. "dei rajoo, we shouldn't think so far"
  2. "dei apu, we can't go that far"
  3. "dei muniandy, we should be happy with what we have"
  4. "dei, look at maniam he is still driving his family in his one tonne lorry, but we have a iswara! "
  5. "dei, that kind of jobs are for chinese la.."
  6. "dei, only a malay can achieve that.. we are indians "
  7. "dei, macha you are OVER AMBITIOUS is the most favourite line..."
  8. "even worst, when you left the table they say behind your back, that indian fella dreaming la"... but then this particular remark i have heard from some frens of other race too... "

but then me being me, whether the indian fellas say something like the above list or my frens of other races say some thing like that..point no.8.. i have a weapon called self belief...! and some frens who used to doubt me by now should have changed their minds about what i can and cant' achieve.

i always tell people they can slow me... but they can't stop me... i'll eventually get there..

gandhi said

the great gandhi said to white man... ( british la)

the white of your skin is under my feet, the black of my skin is on top your head...

Even the Great Gandhi forgot there are blondies in the western world.

under the circumstances

Under the current circumstances, i have decided to write about what's life really like BEING INDIAN in Malaysia...

To start with, this will not be a politically motivated blog, so for those wanting sensational political story you might not get it here. Although i promise the whole truth and nothing but the truth on most matters that have affected my life so far, while on others i'll be a bit discreet as i never liked offending people.

On the other hand here i am blogging when i swore i wouldn't do it and couldn't understand why people would spend hours in front the PC posting their comments...

But i just couldn't find a better way to put my thoughts to the masses... so please bare with me... for this blog will definitely raise a few eye brows and get some people thinking for sure.
